Jorge Sosa, B.Arch., LEED GA, is an Associate and Architectural Designer, who came to GBCA with a strong background in heritage conservation and adaptive reuse. His responsibilities span from project management and construction administration to research, building condition assessments, and conservation plans.
Prior to joining GBCA in 2020, Jorge was an Architectural Designer and Technologist with the Ottawa-based MTBA & Associates Inc. (now Trace Architectures) where he worked on several Classified Federal Heritage Buildings Review Office (FHBRO) projects such as The National Printing Bureau, the former Bank of Montreal (Sir John A Macdonald Building), Parliament Hill East Block and the Public Archives and National Library.
As a graduate of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, he is a certified architect in Colombia and a member of the Colombian National Council of Professional Architects and Colombian Architects Society. Additionally, Jorge is a member of the Canadian Green Building Council and holds LEED GA certification, having completed a post-graduate diploma in Green Architecture from Algonquin College. Jorge is fluent in English and Spanish.
