Paul Gagne, Dip. Arch. Tech., B. Arch, is Senior Associate at GBCA. Paul began working on heritage projects in 1998 at the firm of Philip Goldsmith & Company Limited, the predecessor firm to GBCA. Paul’s skills as an adept designer, along with his extensive architectural technology background, has been key to several award-winning GBCA projects including Canada’s National Ballet School campus in Toronto and the Peel Region Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) in Brampton – both projects cleverly stitching together several heritage buildings into modern developments.
Paul’s interests lie in the sustainability of adaptive reuse and he has branched out to general issues of high-performance building standards – he has taken several courses from Passive House Canada, a national professional association that advocates for and educates on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and providing resilient structures.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Carleton University and a Diploma in Architectural Technology from Vanier College, Montreal.
