GBCA Projects nominated for Toronto Urban Design Awards 2011
Every other year the City of Toronto holds Urban Design Awards to acknowledge the significant contributions that architects, landscape architects, urban designers, and city builders make to the look and livability of the city. Honorable Mentions and Award of excellence winners will be announced and celebrated at a Gala on September 19, 2011 at the Palais Royale Ballroom (another project by GBCA). This year, the Shops of Summerhill (1099 Yonge Street) and the James Cooper Mansion (28 Linden Street at Sherbourne Street) are nominated in the Low-Scale Buildings in Context and the Tall Buildings in Context categories respectively.
