GBCA, along with AUDAXarchitecture inc. (design), du Toit Allsopp Hillier Ltd. (landscape), and Den Bosch + Finchley (project management), was presented the Award of Excellence at the ceremony on September 19, 2011. The Shops of Summerhill was nominated in the Private Buildings in Context—Low Scale category. GBCA’s work on the Shops began shortly after completion of the award-winning renovation of the neighbouring North Toronto Station. Woodcliffe Corporation, under the late Paul Oberman, was responsible for both projects.
