Each year, the OAA acknowledges excellence through its awards programs, showcasing the best work of Ontario architects. The Design of Excellence Award is given to architects who demonstrate innovative skills in creating spaces, buildings and communities that respect and enhance the environment and enrich human activity.

The National Ballet School and GBCA will receive the award during the Celebration of Excellence Ceremony at the 2010 OAA Annual Conference in Windsor on Friday, May 7, 2010.
