Chris Borgal and Sharon Vattay on hand in Victoria to accept two awards from CAHP
The Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals Awards are intended to recognize and celebrate excellence in the work of CAHP members. GBCA won awards in two of the ten award categories—“Craftsmanship” and “Preservation of a Heritage Building.”
Three GBCA projects are nominated for the 2011 Heritage Toronto Awards
Toronto’s Seventh Post Office (10 Toronto Street), the Shops of Summerville (1099 Yonge Street) and the Pease Foundry Building (211 Laird Drive) are nominated for the William Greer Architectural Conservation and Craftsmanship Award.
Recently, Chris Borgal was interviewed about the possibilities of preserving the heritage of Goderich following the devastating tornado of August 21, 2011.

The Shops of Summerhill (1099 Yonge Street) and the James Cooper Mansion (28 Linden Street at Sherbourne Street) are nominated in the Low-Scale Buildings in Context and the Tall Buildings in Context categories respectively.
