The historic stone façade at the Bay Adelaide Centre was chosen as a Provincial winner in the Revitalization Design category of the Ontario Masonry Design Awards for 2014. The Masonry Contractors’ Association of Toronto and the Ontario Masonry Contractors’ Association, recognize the teams of engineers, architects, consultants, owners, masonry contractors and suppliers through this awards program.

Owned by Brookfield Properties, the new 51 storey glass-clad high rise commercial tower incorporates the historic facades of the former National Building (1926). GBCA was part of a team that included Clifford Restoration, Mason’s Masonry and Traditional Cut Stone. The stone façade was dismantled unit by unit and the masonry materials were reused in the replication of two elevations of the original skyscraper.
